Well, I have started backtesting the trend surfer in order to understand what is going on.I recommend everybody to do it as I am getting a very strange behaviour of the EA. It is duplicating orders when passing on the same level of price. Also, it is not only opening trades in favour of the trend but also when it is in losses. This might be a try to avoid leaving baskets in the limbus. The problem is that the strategy starts behaving like half grid but without adjusting TP.I know this sounds confusing but if you make a visual backtest you will understand immediately what I am talking about.Re...

Sure here it is.I believe it must be a bug because when I change the max buy/sales orders to 6 instead of 5 works fine.

Bit concerned.I am using trend surfer with the set file as published yesterday. However despite of the fact that the set file sets a max number of orders of 5 both buys and sells, so far I have 9 buy orders opened only in USDCAD. Also in the display shown on screen it say Max buys/sells 12/12, while it should be 5/5.Any of you similar experience?.Thanks and regards.

The way I understand it is that one represents equity drawdown while the one on the chart represent balance drawdown.This means that at certain point of time the equity (which is the only real value of the account) was down 3.28%. Obviously later the account recovered being the maximum balance DD (balance reflects only closed transactions) .28.I hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the set file.Actually the strategy you mention is the one I plan to follow as well. Splitting the balance among multiple accounts is a nice way to diversify risk.Can you confirm that the settings you are using are the same as the ones published in your page for the strategies.Thanks.

We all have different trades because we have different time settings.I believe Alex must say at what time he wants the robot to operate taking into consideration a fix parameter. For example 03.00 London time. Once we have this fix parameter we will be able to adjust our MT4 properly.

Thanks Glenn,Unfortunately for an unknown reason the EA does load only in one chart and refuses to do so in the other charts.. Also, I had the EA running in another account, I disconnected it for a second and later I was unable to load it back. I sent a note to Flex but I can not imagine why this is happening.Thanks and regards.

Very strange.I had the EA working normally in one of my real accounts. I disconnected it in order to change the strategy. Later I was totally unable to load it back. Anyone with similar issues?.Thanks

Hello,Two questions that are not 100% clear to me,1. I open a number of charts in my MT4. These are the pairs I want to operate in the strategy. Should I open the EA in each of the charts or opening in one will be enough.2. If I select one strategy and I do not touch anything else, the rest of parameters all be the ones preprogrammed for the strategy ? or I should put all the parameters in "according to strategy" mode. I mention this because after version 3.3 it is not clear to me (see notes to version 3.3.)Thanks and regards.

Well, somehow you can check the open trades by checking the equity level.It is a very useful thing to have ALWAYS in mind.Regards.
