Dear Forex Community,
I am no EA programmer. I just want to buy good EAs to trade for me. Sadly so many commercial EAs are either too expensive or are not profitable and the few good EAs are buried among the many bad ones. I thought I could help both other beginners like me and the merchant with really profitable EA by buying the EA I believe in, trade my real account with the EA and make my account result public. That way EA buyers know what to buy and winning EA creators are rewarded for their talents.
My beginning balance is $5000 but I choose the setup for $3000 balance for two reasons: 1. Oanda in US allows only 1:50 leverage while the merchant has 1:200 leverage; 2. Oanda's spreads are wider than the spreads of merchant's broker as below

Also, I will withdraw any amount above $5000 weekly just in case there is an account crash, and I will prepare to deposit another $5000 into the account just in case the initial $5000 balance is not able to cover the worst scenarios of $3000 setup.
With the above precautions I hope this account will stay profitable for years and years and the Forex community can benefit too.

Dear Forex Community,
Did you notice that on 12/04/17 I added $5000 to the account? Why? Because on that morning I noticed this Oanda $5000 initial balance account with positions totaling .60lot open already has margin increased to $1857 and margin level decreased to 264%. The setup in use could open positions totaling 1.65lots. When all 1.65lot positions open, the margin required would be $5106, the account would crash. That is why I had no option but to add $5000 to the account.
After consulting the merchant, he pointed out that the difference between Oanda 1:50 leverage and FX Choice 1:200 leverage caused this problem. He recommended using a higher leverage broker such FX Choice, but I am in US so I chose to stay with Oanda. He then recommended changing setup so that the most positions add to 1.1lot and the maximum margin required is $3404.5. I followed this recommendation today.
Because Oanda requires margin level to be above 100%, I still need extra fund when the worst scenarios come.

Hi, cipher03,
I follow the vendor's setting instruction. If anything, the setting I use is more conservative than the vendor's account because of my account leverage of 1:50. Maybe the reason the return difference between my account and the vendor account is due to the fact that weekly I withdraw profit above the initial balance of $5000 while the vendor just keeps his profit in the account.
Do you know of some EAs that really work?
