Depends on where you live and how much money you have. I recommend FinFX and Pepperstone. I recommend asking the brokers which VPS their clients are getting the best performance from.

Wow....I just looked at the demo account. It seems that my God has yet again defended me against massive losses. Now I am glad for seemingly irrational delays that kept happening while trying to get my new account set up to trade!

Those are some of the worst times I have ever seen anywhere under any conditions. You would be better off with my old broker, FXOpen.

Most true ECN brokers will be fine with the FGB since it is not a scalper. Avoid market maker type accounts at all costs. Matter of fact I would even go so far as to discourage STP accounts because the broker is affecting the price directly.

I can already tell you the tests will come back fine. You won't find any problems unless you are putting out real trades.

If they specifically stated they will not take the opposite side of your trade, that does not mean they won't delay your position from being filled. Plus, it also doesn't mean they won't just outright lie to you the way FXCM has been lying to their clients for years. You gotta remember, these are big corporate machines and they care only about how much money they can make. If good customer trading conditions makes them a lot of money, then that is what they will have. If cheating their clients is what will make them the big money, that is exactly what they will do. I am totally serious about this. If you are getting delays that long, there are only a couple reasons for it.#1- internet connection failed....if you are still getting incoming ticks, then this cannot be the case because mt4 would have a disconnect error in the log and you would not be getting price updates until after the mt4 server is reconnected.#2- your broker cannot handle the client load and needs to upgrade their servers. I did find a way around.....but a 4 second delay is not possible to circumvent. Normal trade delays of 1 second...I can bypass that problem. Plus.....I had proof it was done intentionally. But....it is in their rules when you sign up...so i can't bitch about it to them.

backtesting the MDP is useless except for understanding what the settings do ...at least in my opinion.... I say this because it is so sensitive to spread fluctuations, and volatility/volume for slippage, etc. None of that stuff is factored in when the strategy tester runs and it is the most important part of whether mdp works of not.Also....If anyone is looking to trade MDP on FXOpen....give up. I have caught them stalling my orders on purpose and they have their system all tied up nicely with their legal documents. There is nothing you can do about it even if you do have hardcore proof.

Well, what an annoying situation. FXOpen can and will delay their clients orders AND is most likely trading against their own clients in the ECN platform. Why? Well, first anyone that knows how the mt4 works knows that even on an ECN platform, mt4 still allows the brokers to manipulate orders is they so choose. I just had a situation where I caught them delaying my orders. I have talked back and forth with the tech support for a couple weeks now where they were supposedly trying to assist me. Avoid FXCM like the plague. They just got finished with being sued for trading against their own clients illegally. It was a $10 million dollar law suit, which is the biggest lawsuit against any fx broker in history.

I checked my trades today. i had two sets of trades. First was mostly small loses. Second was all wins. total of 12 Lots traded...+$63 after commission fees.

No, you are correct, they do make money from commissions. But they can still take the opposite side of your trades and manipulate your orders. And they do. If that wasn't the case, it would be impossible for me to be getting fill times of 4 seconds.

Yeah. I generally check the demo account. If it has a bunch of positive trades, then I should also be in profit. If it has a bunch of losing trades or break even trades....then I may suffer a small loss. And yes.....it was a losing day for me.I would like to point out that FXOpen has officially started trying to ruin my trades actively. I have been seeing an average time of around 1-1.5 seconds for fills. Today.....4.3 seconds. The broker mt4 plugin allows brokers to slow trades by as much as 5 seconds. That is why people are having so much trouble making MDP work successfully. The brokers.......
