For some reason I wasn't on the updates mailing list so the EA wasn't trading between 04.03.2013 and 07.03.2013 because MQLLock has the very stupid habit to close the chart. It's now updated to 1.1.8 and it should be trading again.

First of all, it's not my system, I am merely an affiliate. You can find all the details related to this forward test at http://eareview.net/live-forward-test/forex-invest-botRegarding verification, most of my forward tests are running on a private brokerage that is not available in the brokerage list offered by myfxbook and that they refused to add, so as much as I'd like to it's not possible to get them verified.

I know, I checked it out yesterday and the FMT terminal.exe was using up a whole CPU core while several charts were not responding to F7. I suppose it might be an issue with the MQLLock protection.

I've no idea what happened back then, it just went through a prolonged drawdown. Keep in mind that it was a different version at that point so the recent versions probably behave better in backtesting.Edit: regarding sensitivity, it's not like a tick scalper, but it's surely going to benefit from good spreads and execution.

If my risk setting was 5 times higher, it would've made some 15% per month with a drawdown that would've been below 10%. Sure, that doesn't mean much seeing that the forward test is rather young and higher drawdowns can (and likely will) be witnessed, but what I'm saying is that you should take everything into consideration.Anyway, the current 3% per month average is likely the consequence of my setting the risk too low because I tend to be too conservative. As specified at http://eareview.net/live-forward-test/steadyonfx-number-one-impulsive-scalper, this EA is running on the same broker as my MDP forward test. Both of them (in fact, most of the EAs I forward test) are running on the same broker, information that is specified on the forward test page for each EA.If you're thinking of purchasing this EA, please note that it is an impulse scalper (much like MDP) and it requires awesome execution and spreads so it will not work with most brokers. I strongly suggest contacting support for more information before making a purchase decision.

Sometime last year I started specifically writing warning notes on EAs that have such particularities, but it looks like the MDP article was missing such a note and that's because it was posted way before I started doing that. It's a cent account with fixed spread, one of those that the vendor is recommending not to use. Last year when everyone ran into some 2 SL hits, this account ran into 4 or 5 of them. I added a new forward test a while ago - http://www.myfxbook.com/members/birt/kangaroo-pfx/229664 - and that one didn't run into this particular SL; I kept this old account running for continuity reasons.

Completely agree. Unfortunately, the backtest curve fitting did not become apparent until many months after the launch. I stopped the forward test as soon as I received compelling evidence about it.

The settings are described at http://eareview.net/live-forward-test/forex-robin-volBasically, I'm using pretty much the same settings as the official accounts (with the exception of weekend trades). The difference probably stems from the different price feed. Someone also pointed out the difference a while ago in a comment on my blog and I've even compared the trades - most of them are the same with a few exceptions, some trades that exist only in my account and some other trades that exist only in the official account; I guess my account was simply more lucky with these trades.

I also noticed that on Friday and was looking at the logs... Seems like a bug in v2.1 - Envy closed it and then reopened it. I was unable to figure out why that happened.
