Well, I have to disagree.On DEMO accounts:1. Liquidity is limitless and 2. Executions are instant, so DEMO orders get decent (i.e. reasonably good) fills even during new spikes (i.e. just some minor slippage).On the other hand on REAL account executions can slip easily during major news DUE TO:1. LACK OF LIQUIDITY and also due to 2. BROKER SERVER OVERLOAD causing significant EXECUTON TIME DELAYS.It is important to emphasize that these are NOT due to Virtual Dealer Plug-Ins. Thanks for your Vouch, Damien! 😎So a crucial point can be the slippage of the Stop Losses on REAL accounts during news spikes (in contrast to demos), which I have seen on my live accounts a few times.It is partly due to the fact that newstraders absorb the thin liquidity very fast, so Stop Losses can be filled very far from the expected price, where there is some dense liquidity again.

In theory you are right, but there are some special circumstances.For example: if your Stop Loss is triggered by a major news spike, then your demo account will get the fill at the same exact SL price where it had been set.On the other hand: your real account's Stop Loss could be filled 100+ pips away easily... Or 3000+ pips away like it happend on January 15th during the SNB announcement. I have seen it myself first hand... and not only once...So, if you worked on larger timeframes with larger Stop Losses (especially on the 'minor' pairs), then once in a while your SL would be tri...

@jhnnavoigh I don't get it... This is a Pepperstone ECN account... I don't say Pepperstone is perfect, but at least it is reasonably good, mainstream and ASIC regulated. Some "no-name" brokers will definitely give better spreads, better fills, but then they DISAPPEAR with all your funds, or AT BEST they refuse to pay your profits. Yes, it is very strange as MyFxBook is supposed to 'remember' the largest ever floating DD. Apparently it does not work that way and the DD was recalculated.

I guess both of us right, just approaching the same 'elephant' from a different angle.I was simply comparing the DEMO account's performance (with Standard settings) with my REAL account's performance also with Standard settings. The difference is HUGE: night and day. EUR/USD and GBP/USD using 'Agressive' setting.By the way, a week ago I have upgraded the EA to v1.1, but the free fall has not stopped.P.S. I am done with this EA. Yeah, right... All my trading funds were gone in no time when the owner of a 'regulated' (but less known) broker firm decided to jump board with the $500k total 'segregated' client account funds just a few months ago...This one sounds like a 'better deal'... With only 2 clients on board the owner - of this misterious 'no-name' broker - would have $1M on the 'segregated' client accounts... I don't need to elaborate on it more...Forex is a swampy jungle full of predators...

This is another example of the fact that DEMO results are practically useless for scalpers, and they give unrealistic (i.e. FALSE) results.Attached is my REAL Pepperstone Razor (ECN) account's performance over the past month. No further comments...

Just as a side note: Should these results be legitimate, large hedge funds would have already bought it for a six-figure $ (or more), or the developer would be selling the signal for $500/month for at least 100 subscribers collecting 50k per month...No, no... He does not need the hedge funds, he does not need the $50k per month stable passive income, he just wants to sell the EA for $500 per piece and with an unverified track record...The reason should be obvious: since the results are unreproducible, the only way to scam customers is by SELLING it (i.e. an illusion)...

The average trade duration is only 1 DAY, so after a few days (i.e. after the closure of ALL the old trades) the new orders should be the same.

@goode The ONLY thing you should be looking for in your demo test is whether the closed trades are identical with the ones shown on the promoted 'showcase account'. Which I doubt, as I got COMPLETELY different trades... and 10x more...I would suggest comparing the open trades, too, but you won't be able to do that because those are hidden...The bottom line: if you cannot reproduce the trades, you won't be able to reproduce the results.

It is one of the 'oldest tricks in books'... One simply turns off MyFxBook publisher on MT4 and turns back on ONLY when out of a floating DD.It means that MyFxBook will not be able to record floating DDs while being disconnected, so it is like 'never happened'.
