Ok! Took awhile but on this Wedn 6th July a tiny trade occured so was able to pin start date to 7/4/11.As said in previous post its optimization point where there are no losers over last 6 months. If a loser occurs someday then it only take on average 2 trades to make up for it (average win size trades and using risk set to 10%). Trades occur on average once each week, last one before this one was on june 17th so talking "on average".OK folks, mt4 maintiaining in collecting 15mins and knock-on-wood all can continue forward well from here.Truly,Jerry

Found I am back to zero losers optimization but at 10% risk instead of 20%, dd comes out at around that too, so after a trade on 6/27 wanted to re-pin to 6/26 or 6/25 to be past 6/24 loser but system here at myfxbook don't like selections around weekend so may have to wait for another 1st trade by these new presets to select date from a then wider break in time. Btw the gain is 100% in 6mo.Thx.Jerry

There was steep fall on eurusd resulting in a loss so bad coincidence that I get good optimization point but as I re-pin to re-start this happens, so in hopes to give EA good initial run I re-pin as soon as ok next trade occurs.

Ok, 6/19/11 found good optimization point with only 3 loser trades throughout almost 6 months of 15min back data. So pinned start date to 6/20 since I have first puny trade today 6/21.ThxJerry

To whom it may concern:Re: losing trade on 5/23:I happen across my mt4 and ran my back-tester to see what it said about this trade that was open on this date. It showed that it shoulde closed the trade in live but it didn't. Apparently things can be off by a teenie tick/pip so as to make a difference between live & test results. Seeing trade going south on me I felt "better close it, take some loss now instead of bigger one later". Interesting thing though is that quote did eventually move in direction that would've surely closed it "in the black", meaning t...

HiYou have this soooo cranked-up to gain on sooo little pips, isn't this darn risky? I mean if quote backs-up a wee-bit its gonna be loser-city! Please explain. General selection list I thought said automatic, but general tab at your system says "manual", which is it? Why hasn't there been discussion yet, folks see things too cranked-up?Jb

SIM,I beg to disagree about no EA being able to give consistent results, I ran Megadroid on infx for a year and it tripled my account.Having seen its ways and confidence in it I'm now with an ecn acct at finfx.fi, one of the best brokers out there. I'd HATE to have the day that I have larger real money and the unexpected with martingale really is happening before my eyes eventually blowing huge hole in it. I thought too like you SIMs! Can't possibly not back-track "some" but a very steady climbing quote was happening by coincidence right after I got myself all set-up, ...

I was high on martingale some 5 years ago, was so sure of it, but soon a huge steady quote climb came and I was biting my nails as it creeped its way thru most of my $1,000 account. $150 was left when it finished blowing it. Its darn risky, maybe if you calculate what will only take half or third of your account by time you go up to 20th step you might be long-term successful......might! JB

SIM,Why do you say "make sure not to turn off mt4"? Most EA's+mt4 will track whatever trades if mt4 momentarily disconnected/off or logged off. You should be able to find an mt4/dll combo that will keep track of trades in the event of disuption. Otherwise you can have one programmed via freelancer.com.Jb

Thx for your considerations SIM.Sorry you ran into problems with EA sales. Signal service sounds good; it will have problems too hopefully less for you.What were your buyers doing wrong in its usage, is this an optimization sensitive EA?Jb

Thx for response.By medium thousands..........you mention in your site info that this EA for small amounts so I wondered if it works on larger amounts.Doesn't matter what size account as all is leverage in fx.So what reason(s), if I may ask, wouldn't you allow sale of EA? Seems it would pad your account so you can trade larger lots while at same time helping your fellow fx folks. The idea that others have same time of trade as you so could distort your trade opportunity I believe to be false as it would take many huge players using your EA before even 1 pip could affect you, soooooo,...
