United Kingdom BoE Interest Rate Decision
The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England determines the benchmark interest rate in the United Kingdom (MPC). The repo rate is the Bank of England's official interest rate. The repo rate relates to the Bank of England's open market operations with a number of counterparties (banks, building societies, securities firms).
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the GBP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the GBP.

UK Retail Sales Fall More Than Expected
UK retail sales declined more than expected in October as consumers reduced their spending on food and clothing, data released by the Office for National Statistics showed on Friday.
